WINDSOR, Ont. (Mar. 9, 2025) – Carleton Ravens athletes delivered record-breaking performances and strong finishes at the U SPORTS Track and Field Championships, led by Joshua Foster’s school record in the triple jump and Brianna Asiamah’s top-five finish in the shot put.
Foster, competing in his first U SPORTS championship, soared to a school-record 14.72 meters in the triple jump, finishing fifth overall. The previous Carleton record of 14.60 meters, set earlier this season, also belonged to Foster. He nearly added another school-best mark in the long jump, where his leap of 7.19 meters was just four centimetres shy of his own record, earning him a sixth place finish.
On the throws side, veteran Brianna Asiamah closed out her university career with a strong fifth-place finish in the women’s shot put, matching her best-ever placement at U SPORTS. The four-time national qualifier had a best throw of 13.29 meters, finishing just three centimetres off the podium.
Fellow Raven thrower Connor Fraser placed 10th in the men’s shot put with a best effort of 14.70 meters.
With a school record and multiple top-five performances, this small contingent of Ravens showed they are a growing force on the national stage.
