OTTAWA (Mar. 6, 2025) - Carleton Ravens men's basketball guard Xavier Spencer has been named an OUA Second Team All-Star. The Calgary guard started all 22 games for the Ravens this season, leading the team with 297 points.
The 2024 U SPORTS Rookie of the Year, Spencer's sophomore season saw him take major jumps in both field goal and three-point field goal percentages, improving to 42% and 35%. Spencer cut his turnovers nearly in half while generating 36 steals, good for a tie with Stuart Turnbull for the 6th best output in a single season in modern Ravens history. Through 33 career games, Spencer is tied for third with Marcus Anderson for most steals in a Ravens career.
The Second Team award is an improvement from last year when Spencer finished as a Third Team All-Star while earning All-Rookie and Rookie of the Year honours.
