OTTAWA (Mar. 4, 2025) - Jess Hong made Ravens history on March 1 securing the first U SPORTS Wrestling medal in Ravens history. Hong a builder in the young Ravens wrestling program was also the first Ravens student-athlete to win an OUA wrestling medal back in 2023.
"She’s made big strides this season in terms of her versatility and overall game and it showed this weekend," said Ravens Coach Chris Schrauwen. Hong's bronze comes in just the Ravens second appearance at the U SPORTS Championships.
Among the other Ravens at the competition, Heaven-Lee Emond placed fourth, Ziad Saif El Nasr sixth, Ifeatu Melifonwu seventh and Alecsandra Vlad eighth.
