Waterloo, ON (May 11, 2025) - The West extended their win streak to two, but for Carleton Ravens football players on team East, the 2025 East-West Bowl was a valuable learning experience.
Three Ravens defenders combined for 6.5 tackles, led by Christopher Toupin. The dynamic linebacker led the way with 2.5 tackles, on two solos and one assist, while recording one tackle for a loss of 13 yards, 1 forced fumble and 2 fumble recoveries for 23 yards. 3
Defensive lineman Brody Burke had an interception to end the West's second drive of the day. Burke also had two tackles, as did Schneider Cave.
Wideout Frederick Hachey will officially go down as 0-1 on the day. Hachey hauled down a 45-yard catch to open the fourth quarter but had the play negated due to a hold.
The Ravens players now begin their offseasons as they prepare for training camp in August.
Following the retirement of Tunde Adeleke, seven Carleton Ravens open CFL training camps this week. Led by Ottawa veterans Justin Howell and Kene Onyeka, the group features Grey Cup champions Jack Cassar and Jonathan Edouard returning to the Toronto Argonauts. The Ravens' 2025 Male Athlete of the Year winner, Ifenna (Ife) Onyeka, has signed with Montreal after being drafted by Toronto in 2024.
