Ottawa, ON (May 13, 2025) - The Carleton Ravens women's basketball team are preparing to defend their 2024 FISU America 3x3 title at the upcoming championships in Brasilia, Brazil.
From May 28-31 at the Centro Internacional de Convenciones de Brasil (CICB), the Ravens will be among 14 teams from 11 countries participating in the regional championship. The trip to Brazil follows the Ravens' successful participation last May in Argentina.
Carleton returns three members of the 2024 FISU America 3x3 championship roster, with Kyana-Jade Poulin, Dorcas Buisa and Jacqueline Urban being joined by newcomer Tatyanna Burke.
Poulin and Urban continued on the 3x3 circuit last fall, helping Carleton to capture the 2024 FISU 3x3 World Cup silver medal in Xiamen, China. While their teammates were away, Buisa and Burke held down the fort at home, with Buisa setting a new program single-game scoring record with 38 points against McMaster.
A fast-paced version of basketball, 3x3 games are played to 21 points with a 10-minute time limit.
