OTTAWA - Carleton Ravens Nordic skier Alex Szabo has earned Carleton's Senate Medal for Outstanding Academic Achievement in Engineering. Szabo graduated in the fall of 2024 with a Bachelor of Engineering in Electrical Engineering from Carleton, earning high distinction.
Now pursuing his Master's degree, Szabo originally joined Carleton Athletics as a member of the Ultimate Frisbee team in his first year, before transitioning to the Nordic Ski team.
An OUA Academic All-Star, Alex joins a long line of successful student-athletes on the Nordic Ski team, including 2024 Senate Medalist Bronwyn Williams.
Prior to joining Carleton, Szabo attended Nepean High School in Ottawa.
