OTTAWA – Ottawa’s Hannah Schmidt will represent Canada at the 2022 Winter Olympic Games in Beijing in the Women’s Ski Cross event. The 27-year old previously represented Carleton as a member of the Alpine club team and raced for Canada at the 2017 FISU Games in Almaty, Kazakhstan.
The former RSEQ First-Team All-Star has a Bachelor of Arts, Criminology and Criminal Justice from Carleton, enters the games with a top-10 finish in the 2021 World Championship.
Schmidt takes the slopes at the Genting Snow Park in Zhangjiakou, China, as the seeding races get underway at 10:30 p.m. (EST) on Wednesday, February 16, 2022.
