OTTAWA, Ontario – The Ravens’ first race of the fall racing season was the Head of the Rideau,  a local race held on the Rideau river on Sunday, September 23rd.  It is a 5 kilometer race that is run in a time trial format where each crew races against the clock to decide the winner.  The course winds its way along the Rideau River from Blacks Rapids to Hogs Back.

The sunny and cool temperatures provided perfect conditions for this fall regatta.  The Ravens competed against university crews from Clarkson University, University de Montreal, Dawson College, McGill, Trent, Ottawa University, Royal Military College, St Laurence University, and University of Ontario Institute of Technology.  The team did very well placing second in several events.
