Bill Holmes rewrote the score book while at Carleton during the early to mid-1980s. He holds the record for most career points (2,786), most field goals (1,O61), and points in one season (846). He broke the all time O.U.A.A. scoring record in 1985 and led the O.U.A.A. and the C.l.A.U. in scoring during the 1984-85 season. In recognition of his immense talents, Carleton accorded him three Doug Banton Memorial Awards, a Jack Vogan Medal and Athlete of the Year in 1984-85. He was also voted team captain in his final two seasons, team M.V.P. for 1983-84 and 1984-85, and was a two time O.U.A.A. all star.
