Jon Love's performance for the Carleton University Ravens on the basketball court during the 1970s set a record that still stands today: he was, and remains, the leader in Carleton's record book, for career rebounds (1,942). Jon is the only Carleton basketball player to have had his number (25) retired when he graduated. He was Captain of the team for three years and an Ontario Universities Athletics Association First-Team All Star in each of his five years. Jon was Male Athlete of the Year twice, and he won the Jack Vogan Memorial Award as Graduating Male Athlete of the Year in 1977. He was the leading scorer and rebounder for the Ravens in each of the five years that he played, and his all-time Carleton career scoring record stands fifth overall with 2,164 points. Jon served as an assistant coach, was a founding member and served as President of the CURBAA, and assisted with scouting and player recruitment.
