Marinus Wins took every available intercollegiate tennis title during the time he played for Carleton. He played on four championship teams and won both the Ontario-Québec Athletic Association (OQAA) singles and doubles titles. In four of his five years he was undefeated in all his matches. Marinus played second singles in his first two years, when the championships were in the Ottawa-St. Lawrence Conference; in his third year, the team moved into the OQAA, where it won the championship; Marinus competed that year despite major surgery. The team went on to win two more OQAA championships; the second one, in 1970-71 was Marinus' best, when he won both the singles and doubles titles.
