It remains to be seen if another athlete will ever be able to match the extraordinary football career of Mark Brown. He established numerous records while at Carleton including most yards gained in a career (2,759), most yards in a season (1,028), most yards in a game (214) and most rushing attempts in a career (418). His superb combination of speed, agility, balance, and power were rewarded with two consecutive Male Athlete of the Year awards in 1986 and 1987, winner of the Jack Vogan Medal in 1988-89, and team MVP in 1985 and 1988. Nationally, he was 1985 C.l.A.U. Rookie of the Year and a first-team All Canadian in 1988.
