Megan McTavish joined the Nordic Skiing team in 2002 as a master’s student in mechanical engineering and quickly excelled both athletically and academically, making her a role model for past, present, and future Ravens. McTavish achieved significant success with the Ravens, most notably winning the women’s individual championship at the 2004 OUA Championships. McTavish’s success also helped lead the Carleton women’s team to the OUA championship title that year. Megan was awarded Carleton’s Athlete of the Year in both 2002-03 and 2003-04. Internationally, Megan continued to demonstrate her skiing prowess as a member of the Canadian team at both the 2001 and 2003 World University Games. Following her time at Carleton, McTavish would go on to represent Canada at the 2008 and 2012 World Cups.
