Jeanty is the only athlete in Carleton’s history to have captured five (5) national championships in a team sport and the fourth player in Canadian Interuniversity Sport (CIS) history to capture five CIS titles.
In his first year as a Raven in 2002-2003, Osvaldo, in a starting role, helped Carleton claim its first CIS national title, he won the CIS Championship MVP and was named an All-Star. He was named Carleton’s Male Athlete of the Year in 2004-2005, 2005-2006 and Male Graduating Player of the Year in 2006-2007.
He was CIS BLG Male Athlete of the Year in 2005-2006 and CIS Basketball Player of the Year in 2005-2006 and 2006-2007.
Osvaldo was a member of the Canadian Men’s Senior National Team in 2006. He was also named Le Droit-Radio Canada Francophone Athlete of the Year and the City of Ottawa Basketball Athlete of the Year. After graduation, Osvaldo went on to play professional basketball in Europe, primarily in Germany, from 2007 to 2013 where he continued to excel.
He now works for RBC Dominion Securities in Ottawa.
