OSHAWA, Ontario – Powered by two top 10 performances the Carleton Ravens men’s golf team is right in the hunt at the OUA golf regional qualifier at Oshawa Golf and Curling Club.
Ravens Josh Goheen and Kyle Warton sit tied for seventh place following a +2 opening round of 74. All five Ravens are placed in the top-20 through the opening round helping the Ravens to a team score of 303, good for third place, eight strokes back of uOttawa. The Ravens have a nine-stroke lead on fourth-place University of Toronto while remaining one stroke back of Queen’s.
The top four teams advance to the OUA championship at Cherry Downs, as well as the top five individuals not on the teams that qualify.
Day two action gets underway in Oshawa at 8 a.m., with the leaders teeing off in the final group at 9:30 a.m.
