Ottawa – The Carleton Ravens congratulate four members of our 2021-22 team who have recently signed professional contracts. Ravens Jeremy Masella, Cole Carter, CJ Garcia and Cody Caron have all signed professional contracts since the beginning of December.
First-year defenseman Jeremy Masella joined the Ravens ahead of the 2020-21 season, in 8 games with the Ravens in 2021-22 Masella had 1 goal and 10 penalty minutes. The Phoenix, Arizona product has now begun his professional career with the Kalamazoo Wings of the ECHL.
Second-yeard forward Cole Carter (Orleans, Ont.) joins HC Poruba in the Czech 2 league. In 32 games over two seasons, Carter had 9 goals and 19 assists for 28 points.
In his fifth-year at Carleton, assistant captain C.J. Garcia had 1 goal and 4 assists in 6 games. With 33 points in 68 career games, Garcia leaves the program 9th in modern-era scoring by a defenseman. Garcia joins Anglet in France’s Ligue Magnus, where he’ll compete against former Ravens Alexandre Boivin and Joey West – both with Amiens.
Also in his fifth-year at Carleton, Ravens captain Cody Caron has signed a professional contract with the ECHL’s Cincinnati Cyclones. An OUA Second-Team All-Star in 2019-20, Caron had 44 points in 61 career games.
