Rowing season is underway and the Carleton Ravens are quickly collecting medals. This weekend the Ravens were highly successful at the 2021 Head of the Rideau Regatta.
Carleton got off to a strong start with a win in the Varsity Men’s Lightweight Coxed Four by Brendan McIntyre, Owen Powell, Conor Nicell, MacKenzie Vaughn and Cox Margaret Myers. The Ravens would also bring in the gold in the Heavyweight Men’s Coxed Four with the team of Austin Krystek, Scott Leslie, David Damas, Josh Moffat and Cox Chris Breedy.
In the women’s Novice 8+ the Ravens also finished in first place winning by 47 seconds.
The Ravens also took home hardware as the winners of the Kandahar Memorial Trophy as aggregate university champions and Efficiency Trophy winners.
