OTTAWA – On November 11th, the Carleton swim team kicked off their season taking on the uOttawa swim team. This marked the first competition for the team since 2020 and the first competition for new Head Coach Pierre Lafontaine. The Gee-Gees would win the meet with a score of 623.5 to 277.5,
On the women’s side, uOttawa won 344-121, while the men’s final score was 279.5-156.5. Despite the loss. the Raven’s put on a strong performance in their first meet in over a year. Cameron Teasdale led the Raven’s with wins in 50m and 100m breaststroke and the 200m individual medley. Josephine Streppel led the women with a win in the 100m butterfly and a second-place finish in the 200m individual medley. Yazan Al Bawwab and Fin Tuck also won races in the 50m backstroke and 100m backstroke respectively. As well as the men’s “A” 4x50m freestyle consisting of Nathan Landry, Finn Tuck, Cameron Teasdale, and Yazan Al Bawwab finished the meet with a win.
