Quebec City, Que. - The Carleton Ravens were handed their worst loss of the season on Saturday, losing 73-7 to the Laval Rouge et Or. Despite the loss, the Ravens finished the RSEQ regular season in fourth place advancing to the league semifinals next weekend.
The Ravens fell behind early as Laval scored twice in the opening ten minutes. The league leaders didn't let up from there, building a 40-0 lead at the half. In the second half, Carleton battled to keep pace with their hosts. Adeola King would get the Ravens on the board, scoring the team's only try of the afternoon.
Despite the loss, the Ravens finished fourth in the RSEQ and earned a return trip to the playoffs. After winning back-to-back RSEQ bronze medals, the Ravens will need to overcome Laval again in one week's time if they want to improve upon their third-place finishes.
