OTTAWA (Nov. 25, 2024) - Following dominate offensive performances Dorcas Buisa (Basketball) and Nick McCarry (Hockey) have been named z-teca Athletes of the Week.
Dorcas Buisa was electric for the Carleton Ravens women's basketball team over the weekend scoring 69 points in two games. Buisa had 20 points in the fourth quarter alone on Friday night as she set a modern program record with 38 points in a single regular season game. Not to be a one-night wonder, Buisa led the Ravens to their ninth straight victory on Saturday when she dropped 31 points, 10 rebounds and 5 assists.
Leading the Ravens with game winning goals in back-to-back games, Nick McCarry is a major reason men's hockey have won five straight.
The Calgary product notched 2 goals and an assist on Sunday night as the Ravens knocked off #3 UQTR and #7 McGill ahead of Colonel By Classic week against Ottawa.
