Josh Sacobie will be entering his ninth season on the Ravens coaching staff as Offensive Coordinator & Quarterbacks Coach after working with Football Canada as their Technical Coordinator for four years.
He was the offensive co-ordinator for St. Patrick’s High School in Ottawa and at CEGEP de L’Outaouais. He served as the Ottawa Gee-Gees quarterbacks coach in 2011. Coach Sacobie also served as the offensive coordinator for the Women’s National Tackle team that competed in the 2010 World Championship which was held in Stockholm, Sweden.
From 2004-2008, Josh played for the Gee-Gees and established an overall record of 31-9 as the team’s starting quarterback. Josh was a three time OUA All-Star, a two time CIS All-Canadian and was named the OUA’s most outstanding in 2006. He finished his career as the leading passer in Gee-Gees history and 3rd all-time in the CIS.
Following his collegiate career, he was a member of the Senior Men’s National Team where he helped his team win a silver medal in the 2011 World Championship in Austria. Coach Sacobie completed his CEGEP football at Champlain College and is a native of Fredericton New Brunswick. He has also been instrumental in establishing the James Bay youth football program in Northern Quebec, which is a six-aside football for aboriginal youth.
