Player Spotlight: Chloé Lachance-Soulard

Ravens women's soccer recently sat down with Chloe Lachance-Soulard, our standout goalkeeper and recipient of the OUA Community Service Award, to discuss her journey to Carleton, her most memorable moments, and her goals for the upcoming season. 

What inspired you to start playing soccer, and what led you to Carleton University? 

"I started playing soccer at age 4, initially just for fun. Over time, I developed a passion for the sport and knew I wanted to play at the university level. Carleton stood out because of its unique Cognitive Science program, which aligned perfectly with my academic goals. When I met the coaching staff and learned about the soccer program, I knew it was the right fit." 

What has been your most memorable moment as a Raven? 

"Securing our first playoff berth in 2022-2023 after a hard-fought win against Nipissing was an unforgettable experience. We had been chasing that goal for years, and finally achieving it proved what we could accomplish as a team." 

What are your goals for the upcoming season? 

"This being my final season, I want to leave everything on the field with no regrets. As a team, I want us to win our OUA division and qualify for Nationals—something we've been working toward for years." 

What message do you have for Ravens alumni and supporters? 

"Thank you for your unwavering support. Your contributions—whether cheering from the stands or offering mentorship—help shape the success of this program. We are determined to continue making you proud."
