Carleton Announces Outstanding Graduating Female Athlete of the Year Nominees
The Carleton Ravens have announced the nominees for the Outstanding Graduating Female Athlete of the Year award ahead of the 2026 Varsity Banquet.
OTTAWA (Mar. 23, 2026) – The Carleton Ravens have announced the nominees for the Outstanding Graduating Female Athlete of the Year award ahead of the 2026 Varsity Banquet.
The award is presented annually to a female student-athlete who, through activity in Athletics, has exhibited throughout their career at Carleton University, a high and progressive standard of performance, participation and attitude, with emphasis placed on performance.
2026 Outstanding Graduating Female Athlete Nominees
Gabbie Francis – Basketball
During Gabbie's Ravens basketball career, she has been named as a four-time Academic All-Canadian. With her team, she has won three USPORTS championship gold medals and three OUA championship gold medals. A leader on and off the court, Gabbie has played a vital role in the success of Ravens women's basketball.
Lauren Illman – Soccer
Lauren was named as a USPORTS Second Team All-Canadian, becoming the first women's soccer All-Canadian in 15 years. During her career, she was named as an OUA First Team and Second Team All-Canadian and ranked in the top three in OUA 2025 goals. She finished her time as a Raven with 25 career goals and 36 career points in 45 games.
Avery Krawchuk – Hockey
Avery Krawchuk has earned Academic All-Canadian status three times since becoming a Ravens hockey player. Often leading the Ravens in ice time, Avery was named team captain ahead of the 2025 season.
Mikayla Moser – Soccer
Mikayla was named an OUA First Team All-Star this season, marking the third straight season that she's been named an All-Star after being on the Second Team in 2022 and 2023. Moser had five goals and two assists for the Ravens in 2025, scoring three game-winning goals.
Fatima Ramadan – Rugby
Fatima is a three-time Academic All-Canadian and recipient of the RSEQ Student-Athlete Community Service Award. She has won two RSEQ bronze medals with the Ravens rugby team and is an active member of the Varsity Council.
