Barnes to Participate in Quarterback Internship Program
Elijah Barnes is set to become the second Carleton Ravens quarterback to participate in the CFL Quaterback Internship Program.
Carleton Ravens men's football quarterback Elijah Barnes will participate in the 2026 CFL Quarterback Internship Program with the Ottawa RedBlacks.
The 6'5" quarterback from Ancaster, Ontario, is entering his fourth year with the Ravens after dressing in all 24 games over the last three years. Barnes, who appeared in all eight games for the Ravens in 2025, recently completed his third year where he split snaps with veteran Tristan Lefebvre. Barnes passed for over 1,600 yards and completed 115 of 177 passes, throwing 7 touchdowns.
In 2024, Barnes set a program passing record in just his second year, throwing for 2,285 yards.
Barnes is the second Ravens quarterback to join the RedBlacks through the program after Tristan Lefebvre attended camp in 2024. Before attending camp with the RedBlacks, Elijah will participate in the 2026 East-West Bowl in Waterloo, Ontario.
