Stoney and Rouse Lead Ravens After Day 1 at Nationals
Claire Stoney leads all Ravens at T6 in the women's competition after round 1.
The Carleton Ravens are in the hunt at the 2026 Canadian University/College Golf Championships at Club de Golf la Tempete, in Levis, Quebec.
Claire Stoney shot an even par 36 on the back nine to shake off a +3 start and finish tied for sixth after the first day of competition. The Ottawa Hunt and Golf Club member was bogey-free on the back until 16 and sits just four strokes behind Keira Hou of UBC. Sanvi Swarup (+6) also rounds out the top 15. Teammates Luci Garavito (T46) and Ashley Perron (49) also shot well enough to keep Carleton in 6th. Six women's teams automatically make the cut after day three.
Dylan Rouse is the top male for Carleton in a massive logjam of 17 competitors, all tied at +1 (73). Rouse rebounded from a +3 front nine to score birdies on 10 and 16 to come in one over. Luke Macpherson of Queen's leads the tournament at -6. Jaxon Zanatta and Ty Rouse are T77 through day one, while Joshua Marcotte is just behind them at T77. The Ravens men are currently 19th overall and will need to jump ten spots or close to within 15 strokes of the lead if they wish to make the cut after day three. Carleton is currently 25 strokes back.
