Rouse Continues to Lead Ravens as Men Improve on Day 2
Dylan Rouse and Claire Stoney continue to lead the Carleton Ravens at the 2026 Canadian University and College National Championships.
A trio of birdies on the back nine helped erase a double bogey on the opening hole as Dylan Rouse shot a 71 (-1) and continues to lead the Carleton Ravens through two days of competition at the 2026 Canadian University and College National Championships presented by BDO.
Dylan led a full group of Ravens who showed improvement on day two of competition. Ty Rouse improved by five strokes while Benjamin Webb was a remarkable eight strokes better, carding a 74 (+2) as the men's team climbed one spot to T16. Carleton will enter day three seven strokes behind Victoria and Humber for at the cut line. With the Ravens 13 strokes back of the team cut line, it will be up to the individuals to climb the leaderboard if they want to play on day four. Dylan Rouse is set to tee off at 12:50, entering the final day six strokes back of third and three strokes outside the top 10. Individuals within 5 shots of 3rd place will also make the cut, or any player within the top 10.
Sanvi Swarup was the top Raven on day two of the women's competition, shaving seven strokes off her card for a 71 (-1), down from her opening round 78. It was an up-and-down round for Claire Stoney, who carded three birdies but also took three bogeys and a double-bogey to finish with a 74 (+2). Lucy Garavito was five strokes improved in day two, recording a birdie on ten to help the Ravens climb to fifth, seven strokes up on the projected team cut line. With the Ravens team currently inside the cut line, Swarup and Stoney can also start to eye the top of the leaderboard. Both Ravens enter moving day tied for eighth, just six strokes back of the leader Katherine Hao of UBC.
A wet day is forecast for Levis, Quebec, on Wednesday, which threatens late team times.
