Carleton Ravens Announce Hall of Fame Class of 2026

OTTAWA, ON – Carleton Athletics is proud to announce the Carleton Ravens Hall of Fame Class of 2026, recognizing an exceptional group of student-athletes, coaches, builders, and teams whose achievements have shaped the proud tradition of Ravens athletics.

The Class of 2026 will be formally inducted at the Carleton Ravens Hall of Fame Induction Ceremony on Friday, October 2, 2026.

This year's class includes football standout Jack Cassar, women's rugby trailblazer Natasha Flowersmith (Smith), men's soccer standout Sean Holmes, women's soccer star Stacey Siopis, water polo coach and builder David "Chick" McClintock, football builder Kevin McKerrow, and the championship-winning 2003-04 and 2004-05 Carleton Ravens men's basketball teams.

A dominant presence on the football field from 2016-19, Jack Cassar established himself as one of the best defensive players in program history. A First Team All-Canadian and recipient of the OUA President's Trophy in 2019, he became the first Ravens football player in more than two decades to be named Carleton's Male Athlete of the Year. Cassar went on to be selected 11th overall in the 2020 CFL Draft and is currently a two-time Grey Cup champion with the Toronto Argonauts.

A foundational figure in Carleton women's rugby, Natasha Flowersmith (Smith) helped establish the program during its early years and graduated as its all-time scoring leader. An All-Canadian in 2014 and recipient of the Ruth Coe Memorial Award as Carleton's Female Athlete of the Year, she went on to represent Canada internationally in rugby union and rugby league.

A captain and defensive anchor during one of the most successful eras in Ravens men's soccer history, Sean Holmes helped Carleton to the 1984 national championship final. A three-time Ontario All-Star and recipient of the Jack Vogan Award, Holmes remains the program's all-time leading goal scorer among defenders.

One of the most accomplished players in Ravens women's soccer history, Stacey Siopis was a four-time OUA East All-Star and represented Canada at the 2003 World University Games. The 2004 Outstanding Female Graduating Athlete of the Year continues to make an impact on the Ravens community, helping revive the Women's Soccer Alumni Program in 2024.

Over the past six decades, David "Chick" McClintock has helped grow the sport of water polo in Ottawa and at Carleton. As head coach, assistant coach, and mentor, he has contributed to multiple championship-winning teams while helping generations of student-athletes succeed in the pool and beyond.

Few individuals have given more to Ravens football than Kevin McKerrow. A former player, coach, and long-time president of the Old Crow Football Alumni Association, McKerrow played a critical role in sustaining the football community during the program's 15-year absence and supporting its successful return in 2013. His leadership and dedication have left an enduring impact on Ravens football.

The Hall of Fame Class also celebrates the 2003-04 and 2004-05 Carleton Ravens men's basketball teams as the first inductees into the team category. A group that transformed the program into a national powerhouse, the back-to-back national champions compiled a remarkable 56-game winning streak and laid the foundation for one of the greatest dynasties in Canadian university sports.

The Carleton Ravens Hall of Fame recognizes individuals and teams whose excellence, leadership, and contributions have made a lasting impact on Carleton Athletics. The Class of 2026 represents some of the finest athletes, coaches, builders, and teams in Ravens history and will be celebrated on October 2 as part of Throwback. Tickets for the induction ceremony are on sale now.

The celebration continues ahead of the 57^th Panda Game on Sunday, October 4, 2026, when Carleton University invites all alumni and Ravens supporters to the second annual Panda Game Pancaker, a pre-game breakfast and celebration of Ravens pride at Craft Beer Market at Lansdowne Park. Pancaker tickets and Panda Game packages will go on sale later this summer.
