Bio

Bill Holmes rewrote the scorebook while at Carleton during the early to mid-1980s. He holds the record for most career points (2,786), most field goals (1,061), and points in one season (846). He broke the all-time O.U.A.A. scoring record in 1985 and led the O.U.A.A. and the C.l.A.U. in scoring during the 1984-85 season. In recognition of his immense talents, Carleton accorded him three Doug Banton Memorial Awards, a Jack Vogan Medal and Athlete of the Year in 1984-85. He was also voted team captain in his final two seasons, team M.V.P. for 1983-84 and 1984-85, and was a two time O.U.A.A. all star.
