Carleton Ravens offensive line coach Val St. Germain has been inducted into the Ottawa Sports Hall of Fame in the Athlete category. A veteran of over 200 CFL games, St. Germain showed incredible resilience in his CFL career, reaching the top 1% of games played in league history despite facing the demands of life on the offensive line. A veteran of 14 CFL seasons with Ottawa, Montreal, Edmonton, and Hamilton, St. Germain was one of the league's most respected offensive linemen. He was named a CFL East All-Star and served as a mentor both on and off the field, known for his leadership, professionalism, and advocacy for education and inclusion.
A member of the Carleton University coaching staff since 2023, St. Germain continues to contribute his time to helping the Ravens and St. Joe's in Ottawa.
In November, St. Germain was recognized by the CFL Alumni Association with their 2025 CFLAA Indigenous Champion Award, which recognizes a former player who has shown exemplary commitment to advancing Indigenous representation within the game and community.
