Ottawa, Ont. (November 3, 2025) - The Carleton Ravens split their first home weekend of the 2025 season with a win Friday night over Nipissing before falling to Laurentian on Saturday.
The Ravens struggled to put up a consistent effort on Saturday. Facing a big, physical Laurentian line-up that was coming off a tough loss at Ottawa, the Ravens never found their game.
Despite leading 7-3 at the midway point of the first quarter, Carleton felt things unravel around them as the Voyageurs used the three-ball to pull into a late lead. Despite shooting 28.6% as a team, the Lakers' 3-8 three-point shooting put them ahead 16-14 after a quarter. Disciplined play from Laurentian also played a key role in their comeback; the Lakers never sent Carleton to the line in the first while scoring five points of their own from the stripe.
The Ravens made it a one-point game at halftime thanks to tough defence in the second. Unfortunately for the Ravens, cold shooting - going just 2-17 - hampered their ability to build a lead. The narrow margin may not have been, if it wasn't for the Ravens going 7-10 from the line.
The Voyageurs continued to fluster the Ravens in the third, holding them again to 25% shooting while Brice Fandio had 10 points to put Laurentian ahead by six. While Emanuel Milon chipped in 10 points of his own, the Ravens entered the fourth struggling to find a rhythm.
Fandio led the way again in the fourth, scoring 7 points as Carleton again shot just 20%. Domac Domac had a three to give the Ravens some hope, but the Voyageurs matched them step-for-step all evening long.
