The Ravens got off to a perfect start on Friday night against UQTR, with Alex Johnston scoring his ninth of the season just 1:11 into the contest. Despite two more chances on the power play in the opening frame, it was the Pats who led the shot count with a heavy 17-7 lead.
All that UQTR pressure finally cracked the dam in the second as Edouard Cournyer beat Dylan Meilun on the power play to tie the game at one. With just under two minutes to play in the second Olivier Boutin scored his third of the season to give UQTR the lead entering the third.
Carleton battled with a flurry of chances late in the third period, but Pier-Olivier Roy was able to turn a loose puck into a rush towards the empty net, icing any hope of a Ravens comeback as UQTR downed the Ravens 3-1.
