Saturday night, Carleton entered a rematch with the Queen's Gaels with fire. The two teams quickly settled into an intensely physical battle with both teams trading penalties and huge hits throughout the opening frame, but no one scored.
Carleton would finally open the scoring in the second, with Nick McCarry banging home a puck from the foot of the crease to give the Ravens the lead. Carleton's lead would be quickly erased when the Gaels scored off the rush twice late in the second to lead 2-1 at the break.
Derek Hamilton's goal in the first minute and a Cameron Tolnai goal midway through the third period put things out of reach to open the third. Despite late pressure, including a 6-on-4 empty net power play, the Ravens couldn't overcome the deficit.
