Two valiant efforts ended painfully short over the weekend for the Ravens women's hockey team.
The Ravens lost to the York Lions on Friday, only to drop a 3-1 decision to the Laurier Golden Hawks on Saturday. The unfortunate results befall a Ravens team that has played well over the past few weeks but has only a single win to show for it.
On Saturday, it looked as though Laurier had gotten to Langille, scoring twice in the opening frame, but Jenna Beaton's first OUA goal settled the contest. Langille would make 17 saves over the last two periods while Kylie Laliberte added an empty netter as the Hawks took the contest 3-1.
