Ottawa, Ont. (Sept. 22, 2025) - The Ravens displayed an impressive comeback on Friday against the Gee-Gees.
Ottawa built a 2-0 lead on Friday night, scoring a back-breaking corner just before half to double their lead just before the half. The veteran Ravens proved unwilling to fold, and quickly exploded offensively in the second half.
Led by stellar play from their captain, Mikayla Moser, the Ravens raced back into the contest with three goals in nine minutes to flip the momentum. Lauren Illman had a pair, first finishing a beautiful pass from Ava Mills, then hammering a loose ball from the top of the box past Juliann Lacasse.
Illman's second goal was the direct result of a beautiful individual run down the right wing by Moser, whose cross was misplayed by a Gee-Gees defender right to the Ravens' goal scorer.
Just two minutes later, Moser would do it all herself. Taking a chance on a long loose ball, Moser displayed exceptional speed, streaking past two Ottawa defenders and placing a ball past Lacasse for the game-winner.
