Carleton opened the weekend on the right foot at Laurier and struck first just 1:17 into the game when Erica Buckley scored with assists from Olwen Jones and Nicole Hunter. The young Raven continued her hot play after netting her first OUA goal last weekend at Windsor.
Laurier responded quickly and took control, scoring three times in the first period and adding two more in the second to build a 5–1 lead.
Carleton's second goal came late in the third period from Avery Krawchuk. Only able to manage 18 shots, Carleton was unable to challenge Kayla Renaud, who allowed two goals on a light workload.
Laurier finished with six goals on 30 shots, with Kaitlyn Langille playing 40 minutes, allowing five goals on 19 shots. In the third, Ella Grad stopped 10 of 11 shots in relief.
