Carleton's weekend didn't start the way they hoped as Mikayla Craney scored early in the third and added an empty netter as Queen's downed the Ravens 3-1. The game was 1-0 Gaels for most of the afternoon after Scarlett Nowakowski hammered a slapshot past Ella Grad in the last minute of the first period.
Carleton kept pace with the ranked Gaels throughout the second period, tying the Gaels in shots despite having to kill off the only two penalties of the game. An early goal for Queen's in the third put Carleton on their heels, but a late 6-on-3 power-play goal from Hayden Serniuk made it a one-goal contest. Craney would add her second of the year into the empty net to secure the win for the Gaels.
