After Friday's loss to Waterloo, the Ravens were looking for a win. Saturday night, the Ravens were up against perennial OUA East powers, the Toronto Varsity Blues. Abby Whitworth opened the scoring for Toronto early in the first, but Silken Nicholas quickly found the back of the net, knocking a backhand past Lyla McKinnon to even the game. Just 4:11 later, Toronto would retake the lead when Emma Elders found Kallie Chan cross crease for a quick strike.
The goal wasn't the worst part of the play for the Ravens as starting goaltender Kaitlyn Langille appeared to suffer a lower-body injury and was helped from the game. At the time of her injury, Langille had already recorded 9 saves, to go along with 21 on 24 shots Friday against Waterloo.
Ella Grad would come in to relieve Langille. The Varsity Blues extended their lead in the second when Whitworth put a bow on a hat trick with two goals before the midway point of the period. Vicky Kay would tighten the score for the Ravens late in the period, making it 4-2 heading into the third.
Toronto would add one in the third, taking advantage of their fourth power play of the evening, to make the final 5-1.
